You tweeted that your Vaultly wallet won't sync. Minutes later, this DM arrives.
Vaultly Support @vaultly_helpdesk_teamX
Hi! We saw your post. Your device has been flagged for a sync error on our servers.
To restore access, please verify your 24-word recovery phrase using our secure form: vaultly-restore.example
This must be completed within 2 hours or your wallet will be locked.
How to spot this ("Support" DM asks you to verify your recovery phrase)
- Unverified look-alike handle. Real support doesn't cold-DM you after a public complaint.
- The tell: no legitimate company ever asks for your recovery phrase. Anyone who has it owns your coins.
- Fake urgency. Wallets can't be "locked" by the manufacturer — your keys live on your device.
Remember: No real support team will ever ask for your recovery phrase — not in a DM, a form, an email, or a phone call.
