- A genuine device creates a brand-new phrase on its own screen during setup. Pre-printed words mean someone else already has the keys.
- Bought from a third-party outlet, not the maker or a listed authorised reseller.
Remember: Never use a recovery phrase you didn't watch your own device generate. Pre-printed words mean the wallet is already compromised.
